CROSS ROADS - GROUP EXHIBITION
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

ALTERNATIVE REALITY - GROUP EXHIBITION
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
ALTERNATIVE REALITY is a collection of paintings and photographs by Olorunyemi Kolapo and Kamal Obat. The collection is inspired by the ending quote of the movie Mad Max. “Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search of our better selves?” - The First History Man.
What is a wasteland? Excluding the obvious definitions, it is also something, as a period of history, phase of existence, or locality, that is spiritually or intellectually barren. Most of us have an eternal existential crisis "what is the purpose/meaning of this life?" And we strive towards that, attempting to better ourselves, in order to be eligible for the greatness we deserve.
The stories from the works on show explore this concept of a life different from what is the current reality, an alternate reality.
RESPONSIVE EYE - SOLO EXHIBITION BY KOLAPO OLORUNYEMI
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Colour helps us remember objects, influences our purchases and sparks our emotions. But did you know that objects do not possess colour? They reflect wavelengths of light that are seen as colour by the human brain.
"Responsive Eye" is a body of work by Olorunyemi Kolapo Obadiah (kingdiah), curated by Susa Garrido which is inspired by physics theories and focus on the perceptual aspects of art, which result both from the illusion of movement and the interaction of colour relationships that heightens the sensitivity of the eye while at the same time providing a restful solace.
HER WISH - SOLO EXHIBITION BY SOPHIA OMON
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The theme, Her Wish, epitomises a woman and talks about how she vows to raise her voice and stand up for herself despite the struggles and also make amends for the past.
Sophia uses balloons as a source of inspiration to hope for a brighter future and the joy it brings.
